Just last week, we had the privilege of meeting a wonderful woman named Bev. She presented to our office in Iowa City and went on to explain that she had been suffering from vertigo (dizziness) along with debilitating neck pain, headache, and ringing in the ears ever since she had a couple of falls a few months ago.
Her doctor told her that the pain and vertigo were just something she'd have to live with and that nothing could be done. Fortunately, Bev decided to look into other options.
Check out Bev's video testimonal on our home page and listen to her story. The real message of this video is that no matter how long you've been suffering or what you've been told in the past - there may be hope! You owe it to yourself to give us a call and see if we can help you get your life back.
Oh... and stay tuned to our website for updates on how Bev is doing! |

According to Dr. Scott Haldeman,D.C., neurology department at the University of California…“Research suggests that manipulation stimulates receptors in the nerves surrounding joints. This increases pain tolerance. More recent research indicates that manipulation releases beta- endorphins into the circulation which combat pain.”

Patients often consult our Iowa City office with low back, buttock and or leg pain. The cause of this pain is often a misalignment of the sacroiliac (SI) joint. The sacrum makes up the back part of the pelvic cavity and the sacroiliac joint is found where the sacrum and ilium meet. Because of its position, the sacrum can misalign in a number of different ways including entirely forward or backwards, tipping backwards on left or right, rotating to the left or right or any combination of these. Dysfunction of this joint can often mimic disc involvement with varying symptoms. Pregnant women should definitely have a spinal exam since the stress of pregnancy and trauma of childbirth affect the pelvis and entire spine. Chiropractic care can help keep your sacrum and pelvis balanced to reduce and or eliminate these symptoms without the use of drugs or surgery. |
